Well, today I figured we would make a family outing to the aquarium in Virginia Beach, seeing as how we haven’t done much lately (because of work, being sick and of course having nasty cold weather). This is Gisselles first time to an aquarium where she can actually appreciate the contents. Needless to say we all had a ball! Enjoy the photo’s.

Gisselle LOVES the Geico Gecko!!

Selle checking out the Otters playing underwater

This guy was a BUM! All he did was lay around

They had a mach Decoy shop set up

This little guy moved FAST!! Hence the partly Blurry pic.

They had a cool Marshland exhibit with all the wildlife you would see in this area.

This snapper was HUGE and OLD!

This little guy was getting some!

He was CHILLEN!

Really hard to tell, but this crab caught one of the fish in the tank and claimed it as dinner. Blur job once again, but we were about 10 ft away through 2 panels of glass. Did the best I could

Selle goofing off outside. It’s a 1/2 mile walk between Aqaurium buildings so it gave selle a chance to see trees and shrubs (WEEEEEE).

These were huts set up along the walk. Examples of what Native Indians in this area lived in. ( and it was raining here in the swamp!)

And a nice view from the tree top observatory.

Selle found a nest and laid an egg.

The Alligator exhibit:

This Albino Alligator was sick! He hid for a minute, then noticed I had a camera and came out from hiding!

This little guy chased me all through the corridor. Definitely a camera whore!

This big dude was DEFINITELY the LARGEST camera WHORE. I watched him stay still and pose for other people a good 10 minutes. So I had to get in on the fun. No flash 2 ft thick glass grrrr…

Slow n LOW

The baby turtles in the quarantine room.

Various sea life:

I WANT this mofo on my red lobster admirals feast!! His claws were about the size of Gisselle’s head.

Cat sharks: This was somewhat of a adult/new baby tank. Tons of adult and so many different stages of adolescents.

Shark tanks (can you hear the JAWS theme right now. Had to use the sport mode due to the speed these guys were traveling. No flash, glass was super thick!

Gisselle wanted to pet them! Buwhahahaha something like Bindi I guess..ha

Here’s the girls getting eaten by JAWS!..

Sting Ray petting pool:

Selle ready to give one a hug!

And lastly the seals. They were REALLY active so Gisselle got excited. It started raining really hard so this was a quick stop since the habitat was outside.

Thats our trip in a nutshell. Hope you enjoyed it.
