DISNEY CARS KMART DAY EVENT JUNE 20th, 2009

The event starts at 11am and depending on how your store runs the event you will either have a free for all first come first serve event, or an actual raffle type drawing for the chance to open a fresh case of Disney CARS characters. There will be these items available in this special KMART ONLY K CASE:

Now this is the 2nd round event for the die hard CARS collectors to get their hands on some very cool goodies. MAD put the gangsta lean on this 5″ Mad*L. This Mechanized exclusive stands out with sweet bandanna detail, tattoos and that Big Money belt buckle.

My first glance at this figure online made me instantaneously buy it. I dig the whole vato-esque design Mr. MAD himself laid down. The Mechanized is a GREAT detailed figure somehow compounded in a 5 inch figure! BADASS to say the least!

Disney CARS H CASE Impound McQueen and PATTI

With the recent H case of the Disney CARS Characters line popping up, I scored 10 cases in my area over a 2 day period. Needless to say I have more than enough to go around. I posted a blog about Todd the Pizza Planet truck, now it is PATTI’s and Impound McQueen sans confetti’s turn.

Some Saico Craftsman Series Models

I had a Saico delivery while I was out of town and waiting for me when I got home were 3 gorgeous models from the LeMans/SCCA series as well as the WRC. I have been waiting to find the BMW models at a relatively inexpensive price and was able to get the following 2 reasonably in my budget. And the Peugeot was an extra score as I muffed a bid on it and won.

Matchbox Honda Civic Type R pickups

Even though Matchbox is the ugly sibling of Hot Wheels (in the collector community at least). I think they throw out some pretty damn neat castings and nice complimentary wheel combos. I saw these 2 Honda Civic Type R’s and felt the urge to buy them. So I did…

Maisto Allstars Scion xB NEW COLOR

I grabbed this new color version of Maisto’s Allstar Scion xB. I dig the silver /chrome paint. Although the black racing stripes are a little off to me. But nevertheless I had to buy it to stay current.

Jada Toys 1:32 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R

I really never got into the Jada toys 1:32 scale pullbacks. But now with the 2009 GT-R release I will be grabbing the multi box set shortly.

M2 Autothentics 1957 Chevy Bel Air CHASE VERSION

I was able to score a fresh case of M2 Autothentics at a local retailer and I came across the black/gold chase version of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. There is something REALLY classy about the accents being done in gold. This will go great with my Dave Chang 1949 Merc limo!

King Kong Burger-Omaha,Nebraska

With my trip to the midwest, I was able to sample some of the food spots unique to the area. I came across a fast food restaurant called King Kong Burger. Not only was the outside mascot huge (a king kong gorilla) but in further inspection their lineup on the menu was just as large.

Their menu was pretty simple from chicken,burgers,salads, and gyros. There Angus beef patties were a plump 1/2 lb. after cooking. The had single,double,triple,and KING KONG burgers( 1 patty,2 Patties,3 patties,4 patties respectfully).

I jumped in the mix and rocked out a Triple off the bat (1 1/2 lbs of yummy Angus beef). In aww of my cousin and aunt I sized up the competition and got to work. After a little time stretch I was able to polish off that beastly burger and waddle to the car full enough until the next day.

The food was good and service was great. I was very impressed with the work staff ( and maybe owners of the establishment) They laced us with a large ordered of their season fries which I could only mash a few because the burger got me full. And everything was made fresh and tasty. I would really recommend this to any of the Omaha natives and any visitors that would happen upon this establishment while there.

On a side note, for those people that remember Showbiz Pizza (A place where Chuckie Cheese got their business model off) This establishment had their Pink Piano playing monkey in the restaurant, along with various cement gorilla statues for sale outside.

Oakley Half Wires and Juliets

While in the midwest I needed some new eyewear. I had to stop by 3 freaking malls to find a place that actually had open stores let alone ones that sold Oakley glasses. I wanted the Romeos pretty bad but the store I went to doesn’t stock them. So I settled for a pair of Half Wires. And once I got home I found a brand new set of Juliets for $200 less than retail so i scooped them up quickly.
