Jada has dropped a new line called battle machines. Something along the lines of Mad Max type vehicles. Not too much that makes them a line that will last multiple releases. But I grabbed only one that appealed to me for the simple fact of the police livery. Besides that they are clogging the pegs at ALL area stores and have been sitting their for about 3 1/2 weeks without a movement.
The Disney Shorts version of Tokyo Mater and Dragon McQueen models have been struck on first by Tomica/Tomy. Mattel has yet to announce any release of these two yet, beyond the CARS TOONS that were showcased at The San Diego Comic Convention. To most these don’t hold weight to the Godfather that is Mattel. But I like them very much.

Tomica/Tomy has released a new Disney CARS offering in the form of C-14 Filmore. It is pretty close in size to Mattel’s 1:55 scale offering as well as weight. I have taken a few comparison shots to show that off.
I got a cool comment that my blog has been selected by a committee from the Daily Reviewer for being one of the top 100 diecast blogs on the web. I don’t know whether this is a worthy accomplishment but I am happy people notice my little wrinkle on the www.
The LightYear Launcher have been hitting sporadically with two different assortments. One to Wal Mart and one to Toys R US so far. Wal Mart seems to be getting the Lil Torquey Pistons,Clutch Aid, 2 Lightning McQueens and a Chick Hicks. Where Toys R Us is getting Rev ‘N’ Go, Lil Torquey Pistons, Bumper Save, Lightning McQueen, and Chick Hicks. Since Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks have GROSSLY been over done in almost every packaging variation, I decided to grab the 4 that haven’t been grossly over done (yet).
Since the Ebayers have been in FULL swing here fellow collectors had to come through for me on the newest chase car out, Chick Hicks with Piston Cup. Another ok addition for the chase piston cup series (not very imaginative really). I look very forward to the ransberg painted chases coming very soon!
Our local wal marts seem to have gotten a 5 piece end cap display of the newer Disney Lenticular CARS assortments. There is no real case assortment per say for this display. But it seems to be a mix of B and C case contents. After the local Hot Wheels and various EBAYALIENS had their way with the endcap boxes I was able to grab a few pieces that were damaged horribly by these idiots tearing through the displays like wild dogs looking for a scrap of meat. I was able to get the following(even though the cards work in ok shape the cars inside were packaged with a one to a few “damages”):
Once again the creator of the MAD L figure has dropped yet another dope design out to to public. This is a total rocker-esque type design that is fully one of a kind. The style of dress down to the large hoop earrings!
