With a very cool heads up from my friend Jae Bueno. I was able to buy a Mr. Cartoon Montana Artist series aerosol spray can. This is a very dope piece to add into my collection of “stuff”. I think it fits very well with Mr. Cartoons Lost Angel figures.
I had the greatest experience back in 2005 meeting ROC RAIDA and the rest of the X-Ecutioners at a Charlotte , North Carolina DUB Show. Roc was the MOST HUMBLE person! I couldn’t believe how down to earth this WORLD RENOWN DJ was. I was able to chit chat with Roc after the X-Ecutioners music set and the conversation was amazing. Never at a moment was the guy rushed to bounce and say peace out. Through out the conversation and others jumping in for pictures and autographs did Roc ever scurry away to avoid his fans. As time flew on I knew Roc had other things to do and we left with a “peace out” and carried on the visit throughout the show. Definitely an A class experience.
I was able to catch up with Roc again and the X-Ecutioners in Los Angeles Courtesy of my friend Myles Kovaks at DUB Publishing. We stayed in the same hotel and on the same floor which was dope. Roc has saw me an instantaneously remembered me from many months before in Charlotte. As we chopped it up in the Lobby a lot of entertainers came through and yelled at Roc saying whats up. He introduced me to Vida Guerra (magazine and car model) , Fabulous, The Clipse, T.I. and BIG Country and a few others. this was unbelievable and was definitely the HIGHLIGHT of my sponsored trip to LA!As the night wound on we had a few drink in the lobby BAR and off to the STANDARD for a roof top party. We headed back to LAX on the same shuttle and chit chatted some more about to car related items and that was it. No superstar shit, no “swagger” a simple pound and “take care” as we headed to our respective terminals.
So, as to bring things to present day and my lack of keeping on top of the media shiz, I heard tonight Roc DIED Wednesday. Here is the Post from MTV.Com:
Grand Master Roc Raida Dead
Renowned DJ, who had performed with X-Ecutioners and Busta Rhymes, died Saturday of complications from a mixed-martial-arts accident.

In another terrible loss for the hip-hop community, Grand Master Roc Raida (real name: Anthony Williams) of the X-Ecutioners passed away on Saturday due to complications from a mixed-martial-arts accident, according to a statement released by his family. Raida had a two-decade career, which skyrocketed in 1995 when he won the DMC World DJ Championship. He released seven solo albums along with several LPs with his famed crew, the X-Ecutioners. Over the last few years, Raida had been Busta Rhymes’ live DJ, where his showmanship skills were a perfect marriage for Busta and Spliff Starr’s energetic stage antics.
A statement released by Raida’s family over the weekend reads: “Anthony Williams [professionally known] to the world as the Legendary Grand Master Roc Raida has passed away unexpectedly today, September 19, 2009. He is survived by his wife, three lovely daughters, mother and friends. Raida was recently in a mixed-martial-arts accident, something that he has been practicing for several years. Although he had undergone two surgeries with great success, was released to an inpatient physical therapy facility and was in great spirits the past few days, this morning he started to have complications and passed. The family asks for privacy at this time.”
Busta Rhymes wrote a series of messages about Raida on his Twitter account.
“I am sorry to say that on this day at 2:05, Sept 19th we lost another incredible life … DJ Roc Raida died today. My personal DJ is gone …” Rhymes wrote. “I just wanna thank everyone for your love and support and your prayers … We will never let your name die Roc … We love u and will forever miss u … RIP.
“I never met a more humble man in the industry,” he continued. “So unbelievably talented and most importantly such beautiful spirit. I love you my brother. I will never let your name die DJ Roc Raida! We love you, we miss you and we’ll never stop reppin’ you!”
At press time, Busta’s most recent tweets, published Monday morning, read: “I woke up this morning and realized how proud of this man’s life I really am … he can continue to smile down on us … R.I.P. eternally, from your Flipmode Family.”
I can concur with Busta, Roc was a humble man! And from our tiny encounters that was proven a hundred times over. Roc Raida will be missed , I am glad I have the memories of this GREAT MAN to remember him by!

After waiting for quite awhile I have finally received my SDCC EXCLUSIVE Transformer Sound Wave figure. It includes the Tapes RatBat,Ravage,LazerBeak, and Buzzsaw. I used to have this actual figure as a kid, and lost it shortly after it was given to me. Our family wasn’t well off so there was no replacement. This grasped at my “back in the day” heart strings and I HAD TO HAVE IT. SO I reached my hand out to a friend that attended SDCC and he was able to hook me up with one! GREATNESS!
During our 4th of July fireworks waiting, we sat near a mini car show. I saw a custom VW trike roll across the street as I followed it and snapped a few flicks. I saw it come out unto the main street and turn into the parking lot where the car show was. I didn’t see where exactly it went but 15 minutes later the gent parked it within eye shot and I excused myself from the misses and spent a few minutes chatting with the owner and of course snapping up close pictures.
Mr. Ian Hoggard, not only has this great creation but also a white version with a longer front end and also is working on a canary yellow version in Ahoskie , North Carolina (where I get my ink work done ironically). Thanks to Mr. Hoggard for chit chatting with me and allowing me to take a few snaps.
The paint work and custom molding is beautiful. The love and craftsmanship on this custom is WONDERFUL!
And it comes equipped with a CD player. Gotta have the sounds!! And the Comfortable seats to recline and cruise in!
The sheet metal,paint, and fiberglass work is out of this world!

This was one hell of a project. And wonderful to be able to see up close in person!
Right across from the Georgia Aquarium was the Coca Cola Tour. There they house educational tours,4-D rides,cool historic galleries and of course the tasting room. The tasting rooms has 60 different coca cola manufactured flavors from all over the world on tap ready for you to sample.
Entering the building there are a few pieces of decorative coca cola bottles representing China, Russia, Spain, Africa and a few others. My favorite has to be Africa due to the intricate bead working.
In the first part of the tour there is a little bit of history on display from old advertisement posters/signs to figures,clothing and a few old school dispensing machines.
And walking through a mini manufacturing/bottling area you can see how everything gets down behind the plate glass windows. Just imagine working in the MAIN plant manufacturing and bottling a couple hundred thousand units an hour.
The 4-D theater was great. A motion sensitive video, where you sit in seats that move around with the movie,blows air on you and splashes whether at specific moments in the show. Definitely kick ass!
Right across from that is the Taste It area. This is where the sampling of the 60 Coca Cola varieties are. I dug a few from each continent. Japan has probably the best for me out of the several offerings.

As you exit the building you see a HUGE spiraling machine to your left. With all the bottling they do below you through the tour, these products are then offered as gifts to you as you exit. you can pick out whichever one you want (1 bottle per person). Pretty cool momento of this trip!
While in the midwest I needed some new eyewear. I had to stop by 3 freaking malls to find a place that actually had open stores let alone ones that sold Oakley glasses. I wanted the Romeos pretty bad but the store I went to doesn’t stock them. So I settled for a pair of Half Wires. And once I got home I found a brand new set of Juliets for $200 less than retail so i scooped them up quickly.
I got off this morning and took Alma out for a Mothers Day breakfast. I thought I might as well wish all the mothers out there a Happy Mothers Day!
I crept around the toy aisle of Wal mart the other night and was shocked to see a new release of the Designer Challenge cars in new paint schemes! I grabbed the new Honda Racers in yellow and one in graphite grey with blue accents. Very nice color selections Mattel!
Well recently I got some NASTY private messages from the QUEEN BEE of the board xandersmommy74 . And seeing as how I cannot post these PM’s on the board due to the LANGUAGE used by the ADMINISTRATOR toward me. I will rock it out here. This situation I am guessing had arisen from the Admin’s lack of responsibility in patrolling the board and only busting on certain people for things and ignoring the items her own little “clique” was up to. So she felt this was the best way to “let me know my place”. Hilarity at its best. This now shows everyone on that board that she IS NOT the “princess”, stand up role model!!!!! I just got a delivery from the man in brown, with the coolest 20 inch Dunny I own to date. The tribal tattoo design Touma laid down is bad ass! And the pearlescent purple vinyl sets it off! My daughter had to get first grabs at it and then Touma went for a walk in the backyard to check out his new home…
