I had gotten the heads up about Estevan Oriol’s LA WOMAN book release via NOBUENO.COM (linked in my blog roll to the right). And also read up on it via Estevan’s blog also on the right side in my blog roll. I pre-ordered it via Amazon and patiently waited its arrival. Once I received it the photos inside are amazing . Being able to see the skill of Estevan’s finger/eye tandem in catching brilliant photos definitely makes me want to follow and learn that same skill. Each photo seems to tell a story (one I don’t know but am sure is interesting). The moments, attitude,dedication and sincerity in every shot is breath taking. I am glad to have had an opportunity to see the beautiful women of Los Angeles through Estevan’s Lens. If you have a chance check it out and purchase this book. This Supra was one of my most inexpensive Ebbro models I have purchased and yet is a great piece to have gotten. The detail is perfect and the old school flavor is there in all its glory!

With Christmas quickly approaching Disney/Pixar along with Mattel have got their Christmas CARS release out and about at Toys R Us, Disney Stores and at Target. The Holiday CARS include Snow Day Sally, Holiday Spirit Sheriff, Holiday Hot Shot Lightning McQueen, Decked Out Doc Hudson, and Christmas Crusier Ramone. Target secured a 6 pack box set of all the above CARS but the 6th is the DEAL BREAKER MUST HAVE! (REINDEER MATER) Reindeer Mater is Jacked up on real rubber snow tires accented with snow and dons a cool antler tipped snow hat. A+++ creativity from the Disney CARS team at Mattel. The singles are good but the Box set is better! I will let the pictures do the talking!

I got Snow Day Sally in single form for my daughter since opening the set at the moment isn’t going to happen.

They could have packaged this as a single and shipped 20 cases to each store and I am willing to wager they would sell out in hours!

I received an email from an online diecast dealer that they were liquidating their inventory and marked a lot of items down 60%. I headed over to their site and grabbed a few items for a fairly good price. These DB9R’s are gorgeous. One happened to get broken up pretty bad during shipment, but with a steady hand and some monster monkey super glue I got it back together. It looks great from far but closeup inspection will tell the tale. These both are hand made ,resin built, 1:24 scale models by Spark. Not only is the detail superb but the weight it AMAZINGLY HEAVY!Terrific additions to my collection!

This was the one that I received broken to pieces

I stopped back in my local shop that carries the 3 inch Dunny series and had to grab a few more. After the cool ones I snapped up before I thought I would try my hand again and hopefully not get a lot of dupes. I actually only got one dupe and all the rest were new to my and fairly rocked.

The newest release of Storyteller singles have been popping up at stores across the United States. I was able tyo grab a set of the show girls Laverne,Rhonda, and Sheila as well as the cousins Cletus,Buford and Jud. Nice looking cars and kind of cool since they are something away from the norm. I am still patiently waiting the 3 pack versions to see the offerings.

The flurry of Disney CARS Lenticular assortments Case D and Case E have been hitting various areas in various stores across the United States and Europe. The Case D contents have the the usual Lenticular “My Eyes Move” card back but with Case E that changes. The Case E card backs are now in the Final Lap Motif as well a HUGE change in the eyes. Instead of blinking or winking motions. These new “eyes” are ones that “follow” you. They are actually 2 sets of eyes hidden with the lenticular slides in the windshield. However some are very poorly done where you can actually see 3 to 4 eyes at a given angle. Pretty Freaky! I grabbed all the newer stuff including the chases (King with Piston Cup and Ransberg Darrell Cartrip) The Ransberg chase is pretty weak in my opinion. It is about as exciting and any of the “chase packaging” releases. But you can be the judge of that.

A lot of new product is SWIRLING around from store to store. You can find the goods from the most obvious stores as well as the obscure. In the last week or so I have come across a VAST amount of new release items as well as items that have ben out but just have now hit this area.It has been a very expensive mont6h already!

In the last few weeks I have came across a few eye catching models and bought them. Here are my latest Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Johnny Lightning Pick Ups.

Now being originally from California I am fully aware of the sagging phenomenon. With that being said I have been actively aware of the recent “trend” of the young males as well as females rocking the “skinny” jean look. Skinny jeans being the tightly clad pants that basically need a few peoples help to get put on, or in males cases the majority of theirs being girls jeans. That is all good, I as many other people wouldn’t think of wearing such ankle suffocating garb but it is what it is. The real thing that gets me is how this young idiots want to “SAG” the skinny jeans. Not only does it look moronic but just plain stupid to me. I caught a glimpse of said such idiot at a McDonalds this morning and felt compelled to snap a pic and blog about it. I don’t understand the importance of sagging skinny jeans. 1 you damn sure don’t need a belt and 2 I am sure that it takes no effort to “sag” them being as they are extremely form fitting. But what the fascination is with walking around like a duck or a professional horse rider to keep the pants on to me is beyond ignorance. I really hope this kid doesn’t wonder why he won’t have a “good” job or may get harassed by many individuals currently or down the road. It’s very sad to think about these generations as we will have a horrible future upon us once they age to adults.
