Auto Art 2004 Takata Dome NSX #18

I just received this model as it was very recently released, and this model holds a VERY significant meaning to me! Rewind to 2005 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. I flew out to SEMA as a guest of DUB Magazine to enjoy the show and party like a rock star. Being deeply involved with alot of the diecast heads I was able to get passes for myself and a friend to get into SEMA. I was barely tinkering in the JGTC diecast, but shortly after finding this car I was HOOKED.

Now after molesting this car at SEMA and having a diecast released of it, I had to snap it up. Its a very cool feeling to have seen the ACTUAL car that a model is created after even 3 years later! Auto Art as usual executed perfectly and created another hit!

  1. lol. Sorry to burst your bubble but they are completely different cars. The nsx at SEMA was a replica made by a friend of mine named Winnie Ramirez at Team HighEnd. Its not even close to the 2004 Takata Dome NSX you posted. So you actually have it a bit backwards: HighEnd modeled the car after the Takata JGTC NSX.

He’ll be ecstatic to hear that someone mistakened it for the real thing. I’ll be sure to send him this link. I guess the 300+ hours of plastic surgery and $45,000 paid off :]
