I had the opportunity to shoot this show for LiveWire Media. I had an absolute BLAST at this show! So many kickass cars and trucks added with the car and truck enthusiasts!
The temperatures are still a little nippy here in Virginia but the great folks still came out and had a great time. I can’t wait until the warm weather stays and the amounts grow even larger!

The 757 iLLEST crew threw down yet another well attended event. This simple “car meet” was more than that. The parking lot of 240 spots was filled bore the event swung into gear. The next overflow parking was also beginning to fill up by the time I showed up @ 12pm. The support was terrific and the quality of rides that came out were numerous. It was cool to see the amount of people that decided to come out in chilly temps and overcast weather. yet another cool event to attend with minimal bs and good times had by most.
And as usual there is always some jackass(‘s) that shows out and people call the fuzz…
The nice weather is quickly coming to an end here in Virginia, so this Cars & Coffee meet in Virginia Beach was extremly full with nice rides, people and families! There were quite a few exotic rides out that I have never seen rolling around, but I am sure with their price tags they aren’t a daily driven ride.
This show was the first time I have brought the S10 out to “show” I really just wanted to park in the event to make the photography easier and a close place to rest up after the walking. There were a TON of quality rides that came out for this show. I saw Plates from New York, Vermont, West virgina, New Jersey, Florida, South Carolina,Florida…really all over the East Coast. The show classes were extremely bland in my opinion and trophies were glass mugs…..So if I wanted to win something and shine and wax the ride to be there it would have been a pretty lame reason.
This was the best personalized VW I had seen for a GREAT while!
This was the Big Homie Scotts V Dubb. Gotta love the Ape Hanger bikes!
The Old Skools JDM rides Were out in FORCE!!!
Then the rain came through…bleh
Well DONE TRUCK!!!
I think this was my FAVORITE of the show
OG Air Tank Set Up!!!
I have hundreds of other pictures on my flickr page. Click a Photo and go check out the rest. Thanks for all the owners out there for bringing out your hard work to show off. I look forward to shooting more this show year. Maybe we will cross paths again.
Thanks to my Buddie JAY I also came home with some kick ass Muscle Machines stuff he designed/worked on while playing with the toy game. I also was able to score some VERY HARD to come by HotWorks D1 stuff as well as a cool freebie AE86 Initial D ride. Thanks a BUNCH Mr. Jay. These items will be in VERY good company with their other long lost JDM friends as well as displayed proudly!
And the HARD TO COME BY STUFF…. Mr. Jay put alot of hard work, blood, sweat and years into these lines. And I would have to say his hard work was definitely my PEAK in collectiing diecast. ***AND I BLAME YOU FOR EVERYTHING MR JAY!!!*** heh Thousands of dollars hanging out in cases, boxes and shelves. I can add these 2 FINE pieces to the collection!
Never Mass Produced 1 off Birthday Super GT NSX for the Owner at the time of Muscle Machines daughter:
Never Produced/Packaged ’03 Skyline Coupe
Thanks again Mr. JaY! Who needs SDCC when cool ass guys like you hook a unfortunate idiot like me up! SPEECHLESS STILL!
I am definitely not the usual Hot Wheels collector, as I do not need to have every car produced or ever series or the like. But every once in awhile I will spot something on the pegs that catches my eye or that I have seen online that I dig.
I picked up the most recent ’69 Camaro and BoneShaker from the Larrys Garage Hot Wheels Series:
And I also came across a new sub mainline series called Summer Racin’ So I grabbed a Mercedes SL55 AMG and a Go Kart:
I found the second color of the Dream Garage Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R
The ’08 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Concept Muscle Mania release is pretty dope. I dig the charcoal/graphite paint mixed with the electric blue trim:
This Tooned looking ’69 Chevelle is different…
This Mitsubishi Lancer Evo is pretty nice on the graphics side. I really dig the FTE version wheels!
And to round out the days finds I came across a ’57 Plymouth Fury Treasure Hunt
I won this grouping off Ebay for an UNBELIEVABLE $18 plus shipping. I was stoked to win the auction and I am even more stoked they are in GREAT company with the other HOT WORKS family members in my home!
A Pair of Mazda RX-7’s
Nisan Skyline R34 GT-R
The extra that was included in this auction was a KenToys Mitsubishi Evo. It has under body neons as well as interior cabin and amp rack lighting when a button is pushed under the car.
