I had the opportunity to shoot again for LiveWire Media for their 2nd Hot Rod Custom Car show. This one had a side event in a chili cook off which was pretty cool to experience.
This is the final installment of the Karb Kings Rockabilly Rumble coverage. Once again this was a GREAT show and reliving it through the photos has been a blast! I had the opportunity to get out of town and attend a Rockabilly Hot Rod and Rat Rod Kustom Car show. I haven’t had a huge opportunity to get out and around old school hot rods and rat rods so I jumped at this invite. Rolling from Virginia Beach to Fredricksburg the weather (which was already known) was quite nasty with solid mist and rain throughout the area. Luckily I was able to catch breaks in the rain cells to capture these beautifully crafted works of automobile art! I look forward to checking out more of these rides soon and in the future. It is nice to get out of town and seeing things you aren’t normally exposed to!!
I will be getting another part posted of this show shortly! Feel free to clikc on any of the pictures to see the 400+ I shot of this show. Thanks for checking me out! Feel free to add me on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/justjdmphotography
The nice weather is quickly coming to an end here in Virginia, so this Cars & Coffee meet in Virginia Beach was extremly full with nice rides, people and families! There were quite a few exotic rides out that I have never seen rolling around, but I am sure with their price tags they aren’t a daily driven ride.
Due to my work schedule I was only able to attend this show one day. The overall quality of the show participants was terrific. A LOT of great restorations and original owners cars in attendance. I had a great time being able to take some shots of all the great rides!
I have a TON more photos on my FLICKR page. Please feel free to jump on over and check out the rest of my coverage of the show. ***CLICK ON ANY OF THE PICTURES TO CHECK OUT MY PHOTOSTREAM***
I came across this Jada Toys 1:18 Scale ’49 Merc Rat Rod low rider at Target. It was a nice change from the numerous Camaro’s,Chargers, and other various Jada 1:18 models lingering around. The flat paint and rat rod look is GREAT. Thew flame work is A plus along with Kevi Kev’s Paid Due’s clothing logo on the lower front fender. And the finishing touch of While wall tires and blacked out wheels.
