The last few weeks has been crazy for ANY retail store browsing, however I found this Snow Day Sally at Toys R Us and thought it to be pretty nifty. At first glance I thought the dome surrounding the car was an actual globe you hang on the tree, but after further inspection I realized the only thing that you can hang on the tree is a cardboard insert inside the packaging. mehh
Target has gained some more exclusive packaging for the Piston Cup Racers. There are 3 newer 4 packs out. One includes Fiber Fuel and Spare Mint, another has Trunk Fresh and View Zeen, and another I can’t remember the assortment. In these newer 4 packs will be integrated “Lenticular” CARS as you will se in the 2nd 4 pack. a nice tough for those that hadn’t caught these in the singles market or packaged launchers. I think the window box packaging really makes these sets.

I figured I might as well release the Team Spare O Mint from its’ packaged confines. I think they look better know that they are able to breathe fresh air!
I came across some of the B case Race O Rama short cards really by accident in K Mart. I saw a Sally cone short card hanging by itself then no other ROR short cards. I set out on a mission and found them on a lonely center aisle stand by the electronics section. So I picked a few up that interested me. The RED RIMMED Mario is probably the best out of the bunch!
While in Georgia for memorial day I found the chick Mia and Tia 3 pack, then once I arrived back home I found the Sparemint/Spare O Mint and Shiny Wax Team 3 packs…Yay me…
If you haven’t heard the word yet TARGET stores in the United States have Disney CARS Easter Eggs for Easter.Each egg contains 1 Car. The four cars available are : Lightning McQueen with the updated Rusteze logo on his spoiler, Charlie Checker, Chief Shiny Wax, and Chief Spare O Mint (Sparemint). They are hiding out in, where else, the Easter Holiday section, retailing at $5.99 per egg.
The CARS 3 pack Team Sparemint has proven very hard to get in the United States. I had to resort to ordering the this set from Singapore seeing as how they are only showing up overseas. This set is one of the last to be packaged on the vertical packing now that Mattel has switched to horizontal packaging. Another hard to find vehicle added to my massive of amount of toys!
Now, I have read PLENTY of things swirling through the interweb regarding this Collectors event and the CARS that were released. Hopefully I can clarify for anyone who reads this. NONE of these CARS characters are EXCLUSIVE to this event. The ONLY THING EXCLUSIVE is the packaging. This will be the ONLY time you will see these CARS on a World of CARS package. Edwin Kranks will be released in the next 2009 B case, but he will be on a Race O Rama cardback. Rescaled Fred with bumper stickers (CHASE) was released in the 2008 T case. And expect the regular rescaled Fred to be released either in the C case or shortly after also on a Race O Rama cardback. Shiny Wax and Sparemint have been released in the 3 pack G case. Expect to see all the other racers come out in 2009 most likely with a Race O Rama cardback as well! I hope this helps to clear the air somewhat from all the rumors floating around.

After the CARS collectors day at Kmart, I was able to score the Checklist poster, the main storefront poster, and the aisle placard for the event!
The exclusive Mini Adventure sets from the Kmart CARS collector day were a nice mix of vehicles and decos. The Tractor actually has rubber wheels which adds nicely to the design.
