There have been quite a few nice releases this month so far and I am sure a few more will be bought before the month is over.
It seems Mattel is getting into the blind packaged items with a new “mystery cars” series. These come in a sealed bag with the unknown inside car is the game. I figured out their code and picked out the few cars I was interested in. They also come with a mini mystery car poster.
Hot Wheels have brought out quite a few cool castings in their premium prices lines. I have really nerded over the Nostalgia Cereal lineup.

Hot Wheel’s releases in the GARAGE series have been pretty decent and a few of those releases came home with me.
Toys R Us had a pretty cool 20 car SWEET RIDES set. Definitely a few pieces in there that were on the had to have list! As well as some various pieces on the shelf I had to grab from the single releases.
I muscled the power to stay awake Saturday morning after working 12hrs all night and being up close to 28 hours to attend the Hot Wheel Kmart Collector event. The store I went to as usual wasn’t over run with the usual EBAY scum but with a few actual collectors (one of which I hadn’t seen for years) and their kids. One EBAY guy sent his runners out and one was at the store I was at. But sadly for him he hadn’t had a clue about the cases other than grab the “green stripe car”.
This event offered “EXCLUSIVE” colors of models as well as some first to market cars with card back art. I think I did well. See if you can see what I mean in my post.
