There have been quite a few nice releases this month so far and I am sure a few more will be bought before the month is over.
It seems Mattel is getting into the blind packaged items with a new “mystery cars” series. These come in a sealed bag with the unknown inside car is the game. I figured out their code and picked out the few cars I was interested in. They also come with a mini mystery car poster.
There has been a few newer releases hitting the stores that for some reason I have gravitated towards. I took great lengths at locating all the Nostalgia Cereal cars and quickly swooped the entire set of DC Comics cars. Very nice sets if I may say so.
There have been quite a few different models that I have come across that really aren’t main stream or not usually a brand I buy a huge amount of. This post pretty much sums up those purchases of mine. This branches out from Boley, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, 1:87 Hot Wheels, and Tom Daniels models.
I recently found a few cool 1:50 scale Batman vehicles. The bat wing (which I remember having the larger scale version when I was alot younger) and the newest DARK KNIGHT vehicle the Bat Pod. Bot very cool icons for Movie vehicles. And they were definitely transformed very well into smaller diecast models.
For a few years with my visits back to Los Angeles I have continually had my eye on the Batmobile Tumblers at Collectable Diecast. Finally I broke down and grabbed both the showcase camo version and newly released boxed flat black version. These bad boys hold some serious weight!
While running through the aisles of Target on a kitty litter mission. I found these newly hung in the toy aisle. Had to get them to go with my newly purchased 1:18 scales and older 1:64 2 car set. Very meaty for their size. all diecast amazingly. and very finely detailed. definitely worth the $6 price tag *ouch* I just hope they drop a desert camo version as well!
This set is really cool and was a nice price. I have been wanting to grab the 1:18 scale versions of them. But the price has been holding me back. Anything made by Hot Wheels/ Mattel isn’t worth a $50 price tag. So these little ones will have to do. And the cool thing about these 1:64 scale guys, is their bonnets open up over the cockpit. Nice touch!
