Big Lou’s Custom Crew gift to me

With my cool trip to Las Vegas for the Diecastspace.com convention, I was able to get up with my old friend Big Lou Tanahara. It was great getting back in touch with this cool guy. And with the end of our visit Lou kicked me down with one of his kickass creations from the Custom crew line. SO DOPE! And so much appreciated! Very nice piece with overflowing creativity and artistry.

David Choe paints poster of Danny Trejo aka Machete

SA Studios orchestrated a true meeting of the minds when it introduced Machete star Danny Trejo to world-renowned visual artist David Choe. Inspired by Danny’s iconic face, David Choe crafted original poster art based on Machete as a tribute. SA Studios was on-hand to capture this unique pairing and document the creation of David Choe’s original Machete art.

New Kidrobot Dunny and Monger grabs

Right before Christmas I was able to receive a cool hook up from a friend at a local clothing chain. I got the 50% off discount for friends and family so I decided to buy some 2009 Series 6-3 inch Dunny cases, as well as some BIG MONGER figures. A very cool pickup of goods! Estevan Oriol LA WOMAN Photo Book

I had gotten the heads up about Estevan Oriol’s LA WOMAN book release via NOBUENO.COM (linked in my blog roll to the right). And also read up on it via Estevan’s blog also on the right side in my blog roll. I pre-ordered it via Amazon and patiently waited its arrival. Once I received it the photos inside are amazing . Being able to see the skill of Estevan’s finger/eye tandem in catching brilliant photos definitely makes me want to follow and learn that same skill. Each photo seems to tell a story (one I don’t know but am sure is interesting). The moments, attitude,dedication and sincerity in every shot is breath taking. I am glad to have had an opportunity to see the beautiful women of Los Angeles through Estevan’s Lens. If you have a chance check it out and purchase this book. SLAM MAD*L

Once again the creator of the MAD L figure has dropped yet another dope design out to to public. This is a total rocker-esque type design that is fully one of a kind. The style of dress down to the large hoop earrings!

Kidrobot 2009 6 inch Fatcaps by DEPH SDCC & Regular Version + Toofly Golden ticket Chase

I was able to score a San Diego Comic Convention Kidrobot Fatcap Purple Version designed by Deph. This piece was limited to 200 pieces at the convention only.

I also grabbed the same Fatcap in Green (online version limited to 1200)

SLM by Sichi

UK artist Sichi seems to have something to say, but I can’t tell exactly what it is…this new figure produced by the fearless folks at Shanghai’s Adfunture Workshop is called SLM…Sichi Loves Mickey? Same Lame Mouse? I don’t know. Pretty rad though isn’t it?

This figure speaks for itself. No misunderstanding the artistic nature of it or direction it takes. Simple yet defined in a very strong way! This will sit at the forefront of my household letting know all who enter, no bullshit will be tolerated.
